Terms and Conditions

Last updated: May 2026

Welcome to Oxon Driving Tuitions. These Terms and Conditions apply to all learners who book driving lessons with us and to anyone using our website. Please read them carefully before booking.

By booking a lesson or using our website, you agree to these terms.

Tuition Fees and Payment

All lesson prices are as listed on our current price list, which is available on our website.

Payment is due before each lesson. You can pay online via bank transfer at least 24 hours before your lesson, or by cash at the start of the lesson. All outstanding balances must be cleared before any driving test takes place.

Booking Your Lessons

Lessons can be booked through our website or by contacting us directly by phone or email.

After your first lesson, future lessons are arranged directly with your instructor.

Cancellations and Postponements

We require at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or postpone a lesson. This applies whether you contact us by phone, text, or email.

Notice is considered received on the day we actually receive your message, and we record the time and date of all communications.

If you cancel or postpone with less than 48 hours notice, a cancellation charge may apply as set out in our current price list. An administration charge may also apply if we need to invoice you for a late cancellation fee.

We understand that genuine emergencies happen. If you have an exceptional circumstance, please contact us as soon as possible.

Your Driving Licence

You are responsible for ensuring that you hold a valid UK driving licence before your lessons begin. You must bring your licence to your first lesson, and your instructor may ask to check it periodically.

If you receive any penalty points or endorsements on your licence while receiving tuition with us, you must inform your instructor promptly.

If you have any disability, medical condition, or health concern that may affect your ability to drive, you must inform your instructor before lessons begin. This is both a legal requirement and a safety obligation.

Driving Tests

We want every learner to feel ready and confident before taking their test.

Your readiness for the driving test will be discussed openly with you by your instructor. Honest, professional advice will always be given. If you choose to book a test against your instructor's recommendation, your instructor may withhold the use of the tuition vehicle. In that situation, you will be given enough notice so that you can make alternative arrangements before the test date.

Your instructor will check that you meet the legal requirements before your test, including verifying that you can read a number plate at the required distance.

You are responsible for attending your test with the correct documentation, including a valid driving licence and the correct photo ID if required by the DVSA.

Please note: Oxon Driving Tuitions does not currently book DVSA practical tests on behalf of learners. You will need to book your own test directly through the official DVSA website at gov.uk.

Intensive Courses

If you are undertaking an intensive course, please be aware that the fee structure is agreed in advance. If your instructor judges that you are not yet ready to take the test at the planned date, you may lose part of the course fee. This will be explained to you clearly before you begin the course.

What to Wear

For your comfort and safety, please wear suitable footwear and clothing that allows you to move freely. If you are unsure, ask your instructor before your lesson.

Complaints

We take all complaints seriously and aim to resolve them fairly and promptly.

If you have a concern, please contact us in the first instance:

Phone: 01865 763458 Email: admin@oxondrivingtuitions.com

If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, the DVSA Registrar of Approved Driving Instructors can offer independent guidance.

Our Guarantee to You

All tuition with Oxon Driving Tuitions is delivered by DVSA-registered, fully qualified Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs). Your instructor's official ADI licence will be displayed in the vehicle and may be inspected at any time.

From time to time, a DVSA supervising examiner may accompany a lesson to ensure that the quality of tuition meets the required standard. This is a standard part of the ADI registration scheme.

Learner Accounts

If you pay in advance for a block of lessons, your instructor will keep a clear record of your account and keep you informed of your remaining balance.

By using the Oxon Driving Tuitions website, you agree to use it lawfully and not attempt to interfere with its operation or security. All content on this website is the property of Oxon Driving Tuitions and may not be reproduced without permission.
