Oxfordshire County Council is running a traffic filter trial from Monday 28 September 2026 at six locations, including Hythe Bridge Street and Thames Street, which are the roads between Jericho and the city centre. The filters apply to cars, they are enforced by number plate cameras, and there is no exemption for driving instructors or learner drivers. We plan lesson routes around them, which is one of the practical advantages of learning with someone who drives these streets every day.
